Writing Center Appointment Policies |
|
The Writing Center is not permitted to tutor students for work in the following courses: Education 106, 107, and 108. To get help with those courses, call the ESL program (292-6360).
The Writing Center does not proofread or edit writing for clients. We will provide a list of people who edit and proofread for pay. We do not evaluate people on the list or guarantee the quality of the work.
You may schedule ONE appointment at our Mendenhall location each week. You may, if you choose, also ask questions or have a short session at one of our satellite centers.
People with documented learning disabilities may schedule two appointments per week.
You may have only one appointment scheduled at a time. At the end of your current appointment, you may schedule your next appointment.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please call AT LEAST ONE HOUR before your appointment time. If you call to cancel, you may, if we have openings, reschedule an appointment later in the week.
Anyone who misses an appointment without calling in advance is considered a no-show and may not make another appointment that week. Anyone accumulating two no-shows in a quarter may not schedule appointments for the rest of the quarter.
If you're late, we'll hold the appointment for you for TEN MINUTES. After ten minutes, we'll give the tutorial to a waiting student.
